Dear Potential Greek Step Show Participant:
Greetings from Philander Smith University! The 2026 Homecoming Committee, in conjunction with the PSU Greek Council, is proud to announce the Philander Smith University 2026 HOMECOMING GREEK STEP SHOW. This Show is designed to display some of the best steppers from various campus fraternities and sororities ranging from the Midwest to the South.
The Greek Step Show will take place Friday, November 13, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the Crawford J. Mims Gymnasium on the Philander Smith University Campus. The Registration Fee is $150.00 (for Non-Philander Greek Chapters). There will be NO onsite registrations. Spaces are limited and available on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. Registration will close on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. If a paper application is preferred, please contact Ms. Mary Wheeler at 501-975-8537. RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Acts are open to undergraduate chapters of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and Independent Greek Council (Non-NPHC affiliated Greek Organizations).
2. During the show, any obscenity, nudity, violence, degrading of any organizations, explicit or lewd acts, EXCESSIVE gyrations, humping the floor, eating pie etc., and the use of vulgarity will result in point deductions OR team disqualification.
3. TIME LIMIT: The show is limited to a minimum of eight (8) minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes. Two (2) points for each additional minute over the time limit will be deducted from the organization’s overall score.
4. All participants are required to check-in for rehearsals at the Crawford J Mims Gym promptly at 3:00 pm.
6. Each act is allowed to have three (3) persons designated to handle music and props for their show. These persons must be available as the group performs to set the stage and cue sound personnel. Music must be CLEAN and prepared by performance time.
7. The beginning of the show is deemed as the first movement, word, or song from the performing Organization. At the moment in which the first action is displayed the clock will start.
8. The use(s) of floor fog machines, fire or fireworks is not allowed for the performances.
9. Anyone found attempting to sneak people, alcohol, drugs, or other contraband into the show will have their team forfeited from the competition and/or face a minimum $500 sanction.
10. Baby oil, water, other liquids and food will NOT be permitted on stage.
11. All participants must present a valid School and Picture ID to enter into the performance facility.
12. The entry fee is Non-Refundable.
13. All performers are to be in place in their rooms at the venue no later than five (5:00) pm on the date of the show.

All Greek step show participants are asked to arrive at the Mims Gymnasium at 3:00 pm to check-in and draw their order number for the show.
Each participant will have a maximum of 7 minutes to practice/walkthrough on the stage based on the order drawn for the show. The length of walkthrough time will be determined by the time available after set-up is complete.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm, no other guests except those listed on your team and prop team roster will be admitted before 6:00 pm. No other guests except those listed on the team roster will be admitted to the venue. You are allowed a maximum of 3 designated prop and music people outside of your step team members.
Step Show Participation Agreement:
THE RULES AND CONDITIONS OF THIS APPLICATION ARE FINAL. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. By checking yes below, you are agreeing, as a team representative, to all rules and conditions herein and that will be adhered to by each team member. Failure to comply with any portion of the aforementioned can result in team disqualification or point deduction, as to be determined by the step show chair, co-chair, and judges.
